Posted on : June 9, 2015, By:  Tom Kokonowski, Esq.

An engineering student who attends UMASS in the eastern part of the Commonwealth had been visiting a friend at UMASS Amherst. At some point during her visit, she and her friends were walking around and bothering nobody when the police suddenly showed up while the group was holding various containers of alcohol.  My client was not yet 21 years old at the time.

The officer told my client she could expect a summons to court. She got one. Thankfully, she Googled the right keywords to land on my website.

She hired me and we appeared at the show cause hearing in Belcchertown. After a few words from the clerk magistrate, he allowed me to explain why a complaint should not issue against my client. Shortly thereafter, were informed that the case was dismissed. No complaint to issue.
