Sobriety Checkpoint…<click

Where your car will be funneled in with orange cones to the waiting “greeter” state trooper.  If you admit to drinking or if he smells alcohol, you will be directed to the “pit” where at least one other trooper will ask you out of the car to perform field sobriety tests.

If you are arrested (you probably will be), you will be brought to the BAT mobile (Blood Alcohol Testing) where you will be “booked” and asked to take a breath test. You have all the same rights of refusal at one of these as you do during a motor vehicle stop.
